The chambered bubblegea replaced its ancestor in the northern regions of Sagan 4. It is very similar to its ancestor, except for an adaptation in its roots. Its roots now periodically clamp shut for several minutes, trapping nutrients to be absorbed by the inner lining of the roots. This efficiency in obtaining nutrients has allowed it to increase in size. It has used the cold water currents of the North Jujubee ocean to spread to most northern coastal biomes.
Individuals live for 3 years, budding during the warmer seasons. Individuals are born as miniatures, growing to full size in about half a year.
