The chum carboneater replaced their ancestor and moved into Chum waterway. Just like their ancestor, they eat carbon, absorbing it straight from the water, in the form of carbon compounds, and use it in the synthesis of complex molecules. They are free floating, absorbing molecules straight from the water. Due to this property and the high amount of sandstone in the water, they have turned golden.
