The chum monofoot has evolved from the springneck in the Darwin Tropical Rainforest and found a way to survive out in the Chum salt flats. They have evolved a number of hairs around its butt-nostril which protects it from the salt. They also evolved a trunk which has a spike on it, this is actually just a tooth that is connected to a rather large upper lip. It uses this to hack into the thick trunked quilbil which gives them the food and water they need, they also eat the chum twine whenever they can. They have kept their ancestors spots, these are so they can separate individuals from one another as the spots are unique to each individual.
