The cloaked flavuslime replaced its ancestor, the flavuslime and better adapted to slowly moving water. It is now completely stationary held down by a cloak-like structure to the rocks it stands on. It will only move from place to place after the mitosis when the two daughter cells leave the rock and are drifted by the currents until they stick to a new rock. This is the most dangerous time in their lives as powerful streams can break the cell membrane. It has lost completely its eye-spot as it has little need to it.
