Some groups of crystal shrubite had started to travel for the ocean and, led by the movement of the water, they had gone to the surface and had arrested themselves onto aquatic plants roots, such as the sailily. They arrest themselves onto the roots and absorb all the plant sap, killing the plant. If the plant doesn't die from the exhaustion of its sap, the accumulated crystalline mass becomes so heavy that the plant sinks. The crystal had completely covered the plant and created a similar structure to the crystal shrubite that, after the total degradation of the plant, got loose and dislocated again towards the surface of the ocean.
