Splitting from the Grovecrystal, the crystamboo have spread throughout out the regions of Javen and Morokar, forming vast forests as they go. Compared to its ancestor, it now produces clusters of new buds at a rapid pace from its underground roots, creating patches of new crystamboo seemingly overnight. This, however, pales to the growth rate of these flora, which is now akin to that of the (unrelated) pambu of old. Growing three to four inches per day, these members of the crystalflora can reach their full size within little over a months time. To sustain this rapid growth rate, however, the species has a shorter lifespan and had to give up some of its structural stability, thus they are very fragile and will break rather easily to strong winds and storms. Luckily, this is not fatal for them and they can regrow rather quickly.
