Ancestor:Descendants:

The crystank crystalworm has split from its ancestor the crystalworm. It has specialized in eating only the spores of the the crystank shell. A few days before the crystank shell releases its spores it will quickly hatch and then crawl near the the spore holes of the crystank shell. Once the spores are released they will eat the spores and grow to maturity. Once mature they will mate with other crystank crystalworms and then die. Their sticky eggs are laid directly on the crystank shell and stay dormant until next time they release their spores. The crystank walker in turn eats the dead and rotting crystank crystalworm, thus creating an indirect symbiotic relationship between the crystank crystalworm, crystank shell and crystank crystalworm.
