Ancestor:Descendants:

The curled sandflora split from its ancestor and now grow on the beaches of Ramul Island, as they grow on the beaches they cannot filter-feed and as a consequence have doubled in size to increase their surface area. They spread like wildfire around the beaches of Ramul Island due to the lack of competition and predators.

It has lost four of its legs, but the remaining four have broadened out. The legs of the sandflora have curled down so it can grip the sand, securing it in place when the tide comes in. It has also limed down and lost the digestive track, as It no longer needed it.
