The darkpalm has split from the shallowpalm. Its leaves have changed to a very dark blue, allowing it to absorb even more sunlight than before. Its two extra trunks have merged into the base of the tree and have had their tops form a sort of bowl on the top, which it uses to collect rainwater. The segments have a more pronounced edge, which can also collect rainwater. It lives in the rainforest.
