The desert crystalplaque split from the mountain crystalplaque. They will eat the cellulase stuck to the spores and in the dirt near the mycelium. They have spread both through the dirt and sticking to spores. Though they are found in every desert cellulosebane, they do not hurt the flora except for the small amount of chitin they eat to build up their cell walls, which is negligible. Because of the desert crystalplaque, the air, ground, and water in the deserts of Drake are free of cellulase.
