The diminutive notooth split off from the notooth. When the Huggs Temperate Forest became heavily populated with predators, the notooth had to become smaller in order to avoid predators. Other changes that happened during its evolution include a diet with more variety than its ancestor. Their two toes have also split into three claws, so that they can catch wingworms more easily. They have regained their camouflage, so that they can escape nearby predators. And unlike their ancestor, they produce more babies since they are commonly eaten.
