The double-brush seacural split from its ancestor on the Xeno mount. A random mutation caused the number of tentacles to double. The extra set of tentacles lie below the primary ring. These tentacles have doubled the food intake rate of the species. When a lower tentacle reaches maximum capacity, it flings it upwards, allowing the feeding tentacles to passively collect the food particles.
