Ancestor:Descendants:

The Dum-Dum-Dum-Dum has split from its ancestor and now lives in Nuke Rainforest. It has a much wider leaf and base than its ancestor. It also has 2 more string slits. The main stalk on top has curved down and attached to each of these slits. At certain attachment points, globs of spores with varying flavors are present.

A major problem with living in the Nuke Rainforest is that there is little wind to scatter its spores. The

Dum-Dum-Dum-Dum has come up with a clever solution. Rather than using sound to scare away herbivores, it uses it to attract them. The main leaf has a foul bitter taste, but the globs of spores are varied from sour to sweet, getting more sour closer to the bottom and sweeter towards the top. Once a herbivore plucks these a gentle resonating sound is produced. Sometimes a herbivore even stays and plucks the spot for the sound to signal others of its species to come eat. The different tasting spore globs are needed to attract as big of a variety of herbivores as possible, so it can take advantage of different taste preferences. Once inside the herbivore's stomach, the resistant spores pass through the digestive tract and come out in different locations with a pile of dung to help kick-start growth.
