Ancestor:Descendants:

The luroot replaced its ancestor in all south-eastward regions of Drake (hence the name). It has changed little from its ancestor, save for small changes in its leaves, roots and reproduction. Its roots are deeper, and store more nutrients. Its leaves are shorter, to save resources. During the warmer months it will expend resources to regenerate damaged or eaten leaves. Due to a random mutation its fanstrings are oriented differently from its ancestor. Curiously, this new arrangement has produced a more pleasing sound vibrations, which is why it was propogated.
