Splitting from its ancestor, the electro spelunkhoe came about when several dusty spelunkhoes turned towards the electro quillbushes that had now flourished within the depths of Electro Limestone Caves. Even smaller than it's ancestor, it doesn't burrow as much due to lack of necessity, though they do make small holes and tunnels to sleep in and still retain communities, though they are now more loosely held together. It's eyesight has now become even poorer, though its hearing has grown to compensate. They now only have two toes on each of their feet.
Small, pudgy, and less adapt at handling strong sunlight, the electro spelunkhoes live a rather comfortable life with few predators to worry about. Their metabolism is rather low, and thus they don't need to feed that often. Because of this, they are rather sluggish and don't often need to move less necessity calls for it, all in order to maintain energy. Pregnancies typically produce 1 - 2 young.
Of note, the young will often latch on to the slit - the region where in the past their ancestors had a solar panel-like growth for photosynthesis - on their mothers. This allows them to be carried around and offered some measure of protection.
