This is an adaptation of the pollenivorous silkworm for the water presence on the surface of the planet. The individuals that had remained far from dry land had developed a species of air bag in the back part of its body. This bag allows them to breathe when submerged and also guarantees that they float until they reach a place where they can be grasped and go up. Its body still became smaller, and the floating silkworm developed a small thorn in the frontal part of its body, so that it can rise to the aquatic surface with greater ease.
