Ancestor:Descendants:

The floor onamor split from its ancestor. Unlike its ancestor, its mouth placement has moved to beneath its head and has become fully effective in sucking up its prey. Along with its mouth, most of its body has flattened to allow it to slide on the seafloor, which is how it got its name. The floor onamor has also managed to move into the neighboring salt swamps and thrive in there. Another evolution that has helped the floor onamor is that its barbels have elongated, which allows it to not only find its prey hiding in the sand and muck, but also detecting the movements of predators that may be nearby. The floor onamor has also adapted to its predators by becoming poisonous. In order to do this, its tadpoles have become omnivorous and tend to eat the toxic group of snotflora. Then as it grows up, it accumulates toxins in its body and the adults become so toxic that when eaten, its flesh causes paralysis in predators.
