Freestanding Herus split from Bubble Herus. With so much fertile open space in the Huggs Temperate Forest, Herus adapted to not depend upon trees for support at all and used its hydrogen filled bubbles to lift its vine-like stem off the ground. These freestanding vines can grow as tall as any tree. From time to time they will loose their bubbles or get blowing down. This is ok cause their roots can just absorb more water to make hydrogen and lift them off the ground again. Also if they get uprooted and float away they can re-root once they land again.
