Ancestor:Descendants:

The filled gossalizard replaced its ancestor the fanhead gossalizard. It has specialized to be a scavenger who frightens other predators into giving them their meal. Its large frill makes it look like it has many more eyes than it really has. It can pump blood into the crest to make the colors more vivid. It also appears taller, now that its upper body is raised. This helps its intimidate predators. In addition it can let out a loud shriek that scares off saucebacks. Its favorite predator to take food from is its relative the woodland gossalizard.
