The ghostly lumin replaced its ancestor in Ittiz Polar River and spread to the nearby lake and bog. It now uses its pseudopods to move, stretching and releasing in a pumping fashion to move upward towards the light. Because the upper part is the only part that will ever see sunlight, its lower parts have lost their chloroplasts and have become mostly transparent. Its flagella have become considerably shorter because it hardly ever uses them anymore.
