The giant spiny wrigum has split from it's ancestor the spiny wrigum and has taken advantage of the massive population of maineiac orbion on Maineiac Island. They have become twice as big as their ancestor. Since there so much for them to eat, they're almost as abundant as the maineiac orbion themselves. Like its ancestor, the tips of its mandibles have a chemical that helps it dig through the soil. Due to it's size, the giant spiny wrigum can easily give predators a nasty bite.
