Ancestor:Descendants:

The gushstrider split from its ancestor, the gushlych. They have drastically changed their physical shape. While the same size their legs are much longer and its body is much smaller. Its probucus has gotten extremely long and is used to feed on host's blood. Its coloration is now dark gray to blend in with the black volcanic ash.

Like its ancestor, it must drink blood not only to get food but to get a source of iron. it feeds on iron based blood species such as carpozoa and sagavermes groups. They have many nostrils on their head in order to sniff out hosts, however it can now "hear" as well. Its front mandibles have evolved into a set of fuzzy antenna which can sense sounds. This gives them a slight advantage over its rival competitor the karybdos

While they can run fast across the ground they can jump as well. They will either jump up on hosts or quickly run out and feed quickly on their legs. Their reproduction has evolved as well. While still asexual, they now grow a cluster of eggs inside their abdomen. Once they hatch they will drink the blood inside the abdomen. Once they get big enough they will burst out of the abdomen and kill their parent.
