The gyroleffo splits from the layleffo, having an efficient adaptation in light absorption. This plent started to arrange its leaves in the form of a helix, like a staircase, eliminating the existing limitation of its ancestor, where the superior leaves hid most of the surface of the inferior leaves. Due to this reason, the gyroleffo is capable of growing more than its ancestors. The portion between the plent's twigs doesn't have leaves, but facilitates in the dispersion of its genetic material by wind.
