Ancestor:Descendants:

The hairyllo split from its ancestor and developed a wide base, while the leaves got shorter and in larger number. It remains quite the same of its ancestor, being found mostly in the margins, where the leaves can touch the surface. It still reproduces by runners, being able to form large fields into the river or riparian areas.
