The hoh-humm split from its ancestor. It is very similar to its ancestor, except it has larger slits and fibers. When wind blows into these, it creates a deep droning that drives herbivores away. However, since some cannot hear noise, it has also evolved another way to protect itself. The hoh-humm has developed a bitter taste. Theses leaves also have medicinal properties, which can heal indigestion, sore throat, acid reflux. Occasionally, creatures will eat the leaves to heal themselves, no matter what.
The hoh-humm has moved into the plains and became smaller in size due to less nutrients. The hoh-humm is still heat resistant, which protects it from the sun's rays. It also gathers light efficiently even in dim or smog covered skies. Its airborne spores are distributed at the top of the tall stalk by the wind blowing.
