The humgrove replaced its ancestor, the nuh-hum. Its roots have grown taller so its leaves can stick out of the water. Without the obstruction of water it was able absorb more sunlight. It is also twice its ancestors size. Now out of the water, it has regained its ability to "hum" using the holes in its sail-like leaf. Theses sounds will scare off herbivores that might want to eat their leaves. Their spore have become airborne again too since they are now out of the water.
