Ancestor:Descendants:

After the gamma ray disaster the shores of the nuke beach became almost bare of fauna. Therefore, the burrowing purple bubblehorn's food sources were damaged. The hungry shellworm replaced its ancestor. It has slightly changed in physiology by becoming even flatter, growing much smaller in order to fit in all of its new environments, and evolved a much longer shoveling back legs used to dig its way and scrape stankyballs from trees. Its horns grew smaller and are now closer to the ground and as the variety of foods the hungry shellworm eats is great its smell sensors are more numerous. Its mouth is now revealed under the shell as a broad hair-filled licking organ the hungry shellworm uses by sticking it to its food source and sucking it in.

The hungry shellworm also evolved a resistance to the stanky chemicals of the stankyballs and even a taste for them as their smell actually attracts it.

There is variety of forms of the hungry shellworm in different biomes. While the natural color of the hungry shellworm's shell is orange those that live in the nuke beach and bigL beach still has symbiosis relations with their food source, the Testudohexapodia acta that give it a purple color. Also the hungry shellworms that live in the Nuke rainforest have much larger back legs with sharper ends for scraping the stankyballs with more ease.
