Diverging from the cryobowl genus, the hydrabowls have developed along a "stalked" frame with multiple bowls branching off a main body. They are better adapted to warmer climates compared to their kin, and have thus spread throughout the forests and woodlands of Dixon. With multiple bowls, each individual is thus able to produce many more fruit than other cryobowl species, which in turn has allowed them to produce more young with every generation. The warmer temperatures of their new habitats has also promoted a faster gestation and growth rates. Other than this, this species does not differ too much from other cryobowls.
