The hydrothermus are immobile thermophilic or "heat loving" bacteria. They live in hot springs, thus are generally found in the Hydro Volcanic region of Sagan 4. Like Earth's hot spring bacteria they grow around the edges of the pool. Its temperature range is about 50-80 degrees C (122-176 degrees F), and its optimum is around 70 degrees C (158 degrees F). Its gains its energy from the sulfur from the volcanic soil. Thanks to this adaptation it needs no sun light. They reproduce through binary fission.
