Ancestor:Descendants:

When malakommalis or its relatives infect creatures and make they become very sick, they sink to the ocean bottom, remaining there until degrade after some time. However, those fallen in almost inhabited areas stay there for centuries, forming huge groups of petrified creatures along the sea floor. In those places, beadlines evolved to degrade those hard corpses, rich in salts, splitting in a new species.

Julipaks live inside infected corpses, attaching to surfaces and absorbing most of its contents. Most of the digestion happens in the first compartment, with some molecules being absorbed in the second one. Even being specialized in eat infected cells, they are unable to digest it all, eliminating the salt and rejected residues in vesicles along the flagellum. These vesicles will float a little and sink, forming mounds of salty sediments near the corpse and inside it.

Since no longer it needs to leave the place, julipak atrophied the flagellum, but keeps the cilia in the equatorial region, aiding in the movement. They reproduce inside the corpse, being able to degrade it in some months. When the corpse crumbles, the millions of julipaks imprisoned inside it spread along the sea bottom, finding home in other petrified corpses.
