Ancestor:Descendants:

The leafy thermoworm replaced its ancestor the tufted thermoworm in Slarti Salt Bog. It has grown twice as big and now grow many more "wing-leaves". Each leaf now have a more advanced vascular system to help it preform more advanced photosynthesis. Like its ancestor it walks around the forest eating dead, decaying matter. However with the sum-humgrove and lurcup around, it had less direct sunlight from their shade. So it has developed a sticky mucus on its feet that allows to to climb larger flora and thus each the canopy where there is more sunlight. They lay their eggs in the ground near rotting carrion. Once the eggs hatch the larva will eat the carcass until they mature. Once mature they will leave the carcass to feed on other carrion and find a mate.
