Shrinking even further in order to exploit its environment, the lesser gildestia has split from its ancestor. Spreading throughout the global ocean, it has simplified its segmentation to two primary photo-synthesizers and two primary reproducers. Its photosynthetic membrane is slightly larger in comparison to body size, though it is less permeable in order to prevent fewer potential nitrogen sources, such as free-floating particles, from escaping it, as well as to slow down its descent in the water column. It now reproduces at a faster rate, and has since filled the ocean with massive blooms of its kind.
