Ancestor:Descendants:

The makai replaces its ancestor the rikaia in the Oz and Anguan temperate coasts. It has acquired segmentation, due to their exoskeleton formed by calcium. It has developed jointed legs allowing it to push within the aquatic environment. It has also developed sexual reproduction and has two sexual sexes. The gametes are developed inside the mouth. The species has a strange way of coupling, both individuals carry a kiss allowing entry of gametes through sexual ducts inside the mouth. The gametes are dioecious. Male gametes having the shape of a paramecium and female gametes of a ciliognathus. The female lays thousands of eggs through the gills. Larvae have the same shape as its kind, but smaller than adults. Its nervous system has become more complex. The four pairs of eyes have become two pairs of eyes that also detect the vibrations of the aquatic environment. Its skin is whiter.
