Bora is the general term for any microflora that have adapted to live on the fuzzbora. Representative genuses are the Pioneeroots, Twinkorals, and Larands. While they prefer to live off the massive flora, they can also be found on the ground, which is primarily how they spread.

The Pioneeroots boras are community-intensive organisms. They reproduce primarily by budding, creating sheets of purple hexagonal plates on the trunks of the massive host flora. They have spiky roots to initially bore into the flora, and meshing roots to reach down farther. Individuals live for about a year, budding once halfway through life.

Individuals live for a few months. Halfway into their lives they begin producing buds along the edges of their main photosynthetic body. These buds are touch-sensitive: they will grow into new individuals only if pressure is not applied by some external object. As such their rapid growth can be waylaid by other Boras.
