The marine urpoi spit from its ancestor the glowing urpoi. It has migrated to the coasts and salt lake where it specialized in eating the marine gilltail. Its coloration is to help camouflage it amongst the marine crystals. Like its ancestor they hunt in small packs of 3 to 5 and communicate via bioluminescent spots on their tail. due to the abundant sunlight they mainly hunt at dawn and dusk. This flashing can attract larger predators so they use their fast speed to escape from them. Also their shell dorsal fin helps protect them a bit.
