Ancestor:Descendants:

The migrating darkswarmer replaced its ancestor, the dark swarmer, in the upper zones of Jujubee Ocean and LadyM Ocean. It has grown to twice its ancestor's size, and grew another pseudo-eye under its "chin". Its ability to photosynthesise light increased from its ancestor's. It uses its tentacles' lights to attract mates during the mating season.

Its mating cycle is very different from its ancestor's, because for half of the Sagan 4 year, the females will stay at LadyM Ocean and the males will stay at Jujubee Ocean. By the start of the second half of the year, the males will start a 3 months journey to LadyM Ocean, there they will mate and die. Two weeks later, the females will spawn their offsprings to the water and die as well. The male offsprings will then make their journey back to Jujubee Ocean, where they'll live for another half a year, until they return to mate and the cycle continues.

This migrating horde of 4 centimeter beings is a feast to all carnivorous organisms around these oceans, and the migrating darkswarmer relies on huge numbers to be able to survive this feastings.
