The morphous swampbean replaced its ancestor in Slarti River. Its life cycle has undergone some drastic changes. The individual has 4 main stages of development: its first stage looks just like its ancestor, and is the same size, except it has much more cilia for feeding. In its second stage, it grows to double its previous size. In its third stage, the individual splits in half; the top half floats off to take root somewhere else and begin its life as stage one. The bottom half continues to grow, but instead of growing vertically it grows horizontally and becomes double the diameter of its original stages. It will live in this form for a while (about a week), then it produces buds on its perimeter at regular intervals - about 5 buds. The buds become new morphous swampbeans, however, the "parent" soon dies after the buds begin to grow on their own, and the new individuals will eat the dead "parent". Other than this, it is the same as its ancestor.
