The Neuks are a genus that split from their ancestor the ukback. The group are neoteny versions of the ukback. The neuks have varying amounts of traits of the ancestors of the ukback. They are found in humid environments or anywhere near fresh water. A majority of the species in this genus are predatory and scavengers, the rest of the species are parasitic and or feed on blood. Neuks give varying degrees of parental care, from lay the eggs in a puddle and leaving to caring them around from egg to late larvae while continuing their lives and providing food for the offspring. The parasitic neuks are usually on the lower end of the spectrum of parental care. Parasitic neuks are as equally related to each other as they are to the predatory neuks, meaning there was not two branches of neuks one being predatory and the other being parasitic. All neuks lay frog-like eggs and most of them are born as a larvae that resembles Uksip Terricola. They are found exclusively on Darwin.
