Ancestor:Descendants:

The odor-spray wingworm replaced its ancestor. Due to competition from the hugo worm, it had to drop its vegetarian diet and substitute it with decaying plant matter and rotting flesh. It has also managed to spread out into the Darwin Savanna. It has lost 3 pairs of its wings and instead of gliding, it prefers to crawl rather than fly, though it can fly in short flutters. Its mouth has also evolved into a leech-like mouth that is used to suck up carrion and decaying flora. The odor-spray wingworm gets its name because it has a pair of glands behind its wings that squirt out a foul-smelling spray that deters predators away. However, some organisms don't have a sense of smell, especially the plent. Thankfully, the odor-spraying worm's spray also has a disgusting taste that is similar to salted fish.
