The pinprong split from its ancestor and moved to westward to Dixon Savanna. Its ability to live in loose dirt has even allowed it to inhabit the adjacent Jlindy Tropical Beach. Like its ancestor it has spines housed with its tufted leaves, however these spines are now bigger and stick out predominantly from the leaf clusters; this is to deter herbivores from eating or treading on them.
Individuals live for 2 years, beginning the process of producing spores and buds after 3 weeks of growing; it will grow 3 buds (one for each stem) but will also produce ~1000 airborne spores every 3 weeks. Their success allows them to in dense fields, covering vast quantities of land in a manner of months.
