Splitting from the arid plyent, the pixy plyent has shrunken in size and taken to the more humid regions of Javen. What is perhaps its most notable adaption, besides its smaller size, is the presence of a third photosynthetic 'branch', the result of a mutation that was passed on from descendent to descendent. Other than this and its loss of defensive spikes along the legs, the pixy plyent is not that different in terms of biology compared to that of its ancestors.
Because the regions it now inhabits are relatively humid and lacking in terms of flash floods, the pixy plyent does not need to seek as much water in order to sustain itself, especially in such regions as the rainforest and woodlands, where rain is rather plentiful. The only difference is within the Javen Tropical Savanna, a region that is relatively dry. Here the pixy plyents are more mobile, actively seeking bodies of water such as ponds and small streams. They will congregate along the shorelines in great numbers, creating a miniature forest of mobile 'forests'.
