This pioneer plent left the open skies and became a river creature. It can still fly and does so mostly to avoid being eaten or move to new locations but most of the time it swims. It feeds on rivergrass and swampgrass (plants) and mud-scooping scuttlecrabs and emperor wingworms (animals). Its tiny arms are almost useless for the adults, but the young use it to grasp their mothers while she swims. It has a thin organ on its head that it uses for photosynthesis when most of its body is underwater.
