Ancestor:Descendants:

The pleriema replaced its ancestor, the xeno hookmouth phlyer. It grew larger and became a full carnivore. It mainly hunts the barbback and purple phlock. Its coloration is purple to blend in with the purple flora. Its sharp beak and front claws are used for ripping open its prey. They also will scavenge food if they come across it. Its small wing-leaves are no good for flying anymore but can still photosynthesize.

Males fight over females by biting and clawing at each other. The female will give birth to 1 to 2 offspring per year. Many do not made it to adulthood due to the harsh polar environment. They build large ground nests to keep their offspring warm while the other parent is away looking for food. When the other parent returns they will regurgitate up the food for their offspring to eat. Once they are old enough thy are sent of to live on their own.
