Ancestor:Descendants:

The plurgey split from its ancestor, the light gatherer plurge. It has left the sandstone caves and once again have reclaimed the desert. The leaves grow at the top so herbivores cannot get to them. Their trunk is covered with long thorns to stop herbivores from eating their bark. Their roots have become rock hard and so herbivores will not eat them either. However when it rains they will quickly grow some berries that creatures can eat. They are produced at the top by the leaves. Since its almost impossible to get to them with all their thorns, they will loose its thorns during this time. Once it gets dry again the thorns will grow back. Its large trunk can hold lots of water it absorbs when it rains. It can last without water for years.
