The poison rust weed split off from the rust weed. Since the swampilla appeared, it has been consumed a lot and it had to adapt. The leaves secrete a toxic oil similar to urushiol in poison ivy plants on Earth. When ingested, it causes intense pain in the digestive tract of herbivores. Swampillas who have eaten poison rust weeds before learned to never eat them again. It has grown taller than its ancestor.
