Ancestor:Descendants:

Puffkin scuttlecrab split from the leatherback scuttlecrab. It has lost its symbiotic relationship with testudohexapodia spherus, and now completely relies on the puffkin shrub. It crawls up the tall stalk to the central gourd, then it cuts it open with its claws and eats the insides. Later on the seeds it has eaten with the pulp secrete a bitter chemical that causes them to vomit and thus spreads the seeds; due to this constant vomiting it needs to eat all the time. It also has evolved a pink leathery exoskeleton. This allows it to blend in with the fruit when eating so predators such as the stumpworm sucker will not see them.
