The rainforest phlock split from its ancestor, the striped phlock. It now lives in the rainforest. Its neck has grown longer to reach the branches of the trees. Since there is less sunlight in the forest its photosynthetic leaves have shrunk. Like its ancestor it is a sprinter and will escape predators by running away. They are still social and will warn others of predators by making a tooting sound from their butt-nostrils. However they travel in smaller herd than their ancestors.
