Ancestor:Descendants:

The rainforest plapir split off from the plapir. During its evolution, its two trunks have almost fused into one trunk except for the very tip of its trunk. Other adaptations include smaller and darker-colored sails on their backs so that predators can't see them as easily as they used to; they have even developed a pair of small, wooden, tusk-like teeth on their lower jaws which is used for fighting predators or male rainforest plapirs. Their eyesight has improved so that it can easily navigate the darkness within the rainforest, and their legs are designed for both running and swimming fast. They still have sexual dimorphism like their ancestor did.

The difference between a male rainforest plapir and a female rainforest plapir is that the males have dark blue spots around their eyes, they have brighter sails than the female, and their "tusks" are slightly bigger than the female's "tusks".
