Ancestor:Descendants:

The ringed rustling split from its ancestor, the crusher worm. It now has developed a new growing method: it grows in rings bigger and bigger. The older rings are red and rusty while the newer rings are gray and shiny. On the top of its back it will produce a small round "egg" that will roll off and grow into a new rustling.

It uses 4 of its legs to walk around while the other 2 are used for digging in the dirt. Its mouth now extends out on a tube-mouth and has primitive teeth to chew with. They are blind and deaf and must rely on touch and smell from its 3 green nostrils.

It has also developed a bioelectric ability in its head. This along with the iron in its skull it causes it to become an electromagnet which will draw iron particles right out of the ground. Since this takes some energy to do, it only uses it when it is low on iron and will prefer to scavenge or eat other rotting organic material instead.
