Ancestor:Descendants:

The river saltgrass has split from its ancestor to live completely in the river. They live for half a year in the BioCat River. They start to grow about half way through the dry season and gather as much sugars as possible with photosynthesis. As soon as they have the right amount of sugars to live through the wet season. When the river starts to flow with water again its leaves fold up to help protect the seeds inside the real grass. They then hold as much water as they can in there trunk. When the dry season comes they then die and rot then the seeds will plant them selves in the rotting trunk which has water.
